Production Logo
This video is used to show the progression of our production logo and the different types we used. The first title we tried was stop motion created on a stop motion app on an iphone, we decided to do this as it was quirky and reflected the fast pace of our opening, particularly in the other titles we used. We felt it also complimented our other titles as they were all quite original and on objects that the characters would use daily. The stop motion consisted of a scrunched up piece of paper which rolls across the table and slowly unfolds however once created and added into our opening we felt it looked very unproffessional and the background looked very unorganised therefore, a lot more planning of the stop motion should have taken place but with this in mind we changed our production logo completely to something else to make the production logo seem more professional. After this we were very uninspired with production logos but felt they were of great importance and could engage viewers from the very beginning and if the logo was bad that would reflect the rest of the film. We then created a very simple boring one which we knew later we would change however, we were getting used to the Adobe After Effects software which none of us had experience with but by creating a simple one we could get used to the software and what it had to offer. After completing our simple logo we watching a few online tutorials which would help create our final logo which would be most complex and professional looking. The final production logo we created was simply 'GEL' which had a glowing effect which flashed up for roughly a couple of seconds and then faded and the film progressed, we felt it reflected the young quirkiness of our opening and by using a shorter production name it meant it was more memorable for the audience.
